Small Bedrooms and the Challenges Presented

Hello all! I hope that this spring has been treating you well.

I am in a quandary, and what other way to figure out the best course of action than to talk it out with my loyal readers?! I currently moved, and my bedroom is DRAMATICALLY smaller than my old haven of sleep.

I have room for a dresser and a bed, which is nice, but I also own a copious amount of books. In addition, I also need a desk so I can work away from my roommate. WHAT DO I DO?! I go to Pinterest, of course!

When I first moved in, I knew immediately that I had to utilize the wall space. I looked to the photos below for my inspiration.

Lightbulbs can be more than lightbulbs?

Lightbulbs are essential in today's world. Almost everyone has a lightbulb in their house. I am a fan of up-cycling, and one thing that caught my eye were lightbulbs. There has to be some other use of these everyday items. Thankfully, Pinterest has come through for us! Look at these amazing ideas!

Nail Polish is the New Paint?

You know when you see a Buzzfeed video, and it sparks an idea? That is what happened to me, though more specifically, the idea that Buzzfeed presented was more of a challenge that I felt the need to accept. Nail polish, when added to cold water, can be used to make plain mugs and dollar store glasses into works of art. This is not a joke, people! The art of nail polish has moved on from the fingers, and onto mugs/glasses/all ceramics! Here are some of my favorites:

See, legitimate art.

Cork It.

If you are anything like me, copious amounts of wine can get consumed in a week--depending on the type of week you are having, of course. :) The age old question (at least for me), is what can be done with all the corks?! It is always a shame to me to just throw those things of beauty into the trash. Cork art is an up-and-coming DIY trend, and can be used from simple coasters to maps and wall art. Let's take a look at the best of the best, all while sipping on a glass of wine, of course!

Create Bookshelves that Decorate and Store!

In today's world, it is sometimes hard to find people that still go out and buy books. If you are one of those that do (please do, books are amazing), you have to find a way to store all of your books! If you are like me, you will have hundreds of books with no place to live. Today's post changes that! Here are some brilliant, and stylish, ways to store your books.

I Dream of Log Cabins

Have you ever watched the show Barnwood Builders? It is a show about five West Virginians who salvage old barns. I've recently became hooked on this show, and it is making me dream of log cabins. There is just something so authentic about these log cabins; they incorporate nature, and bring the natural beauty of the outdoors inside.
